We are closely monitoring the updates regarding the novel Coronavirus, known as COVID-19.
On March 16, 2020, Dove House CAC and Board of Directors suspended on-site response services. Our dedicated team has continued to work, albeit remotely. All non-emergent on-site appointments have been rescheduled for a later date. If an immediate forensic interview is warranted, for an emergent case, steps will be taken to ensure appropriate safety precautions.
Although we are not conducting on-site forensic interviews or medical evaluations, for non-emergent cases, we continue to receive new case referrals from our community partners. Our staff is triaging cases as they are received, consulting with law enforcement, and linking professionals across our partner agencies to ensure immediate and appropriate intervention. Every child’s safety remains our highest priority. Our staff is remaining in contact with clients, caregivers, and our multidisciplinary partners
In addition to these temporary adjustments to our clinical operations, we have cancelled our Children’s Voice Luncheon, originally scheduled for October 2020 and we have rescheduled our 19th annual “An Evening for Dove House” fundraiser, to October 17, 2020. Of course, we are disappointed – not only because these events are important to Dove House – but because these events connect us personally with our supporters.
Further information about supporting Dove House CAC during this unprecedented time can be found at We know that our community clearly understands the critical nature of the work we do at Dove House CAC, and that you will continue to support Dove House CAC, so that we can continue to provide critical services.
We know that you, too, are facing monumental challenges in your business and personal environments; this is unfamiliar territory to us all. Our thoughts and prayers remain with each of you as you navigate your way through these unprecedented times. We pray for health and safety for you and your loved ones. We pray for the afflicted. We pray for those businesses hit especially hard. We pray for the unemployed. We pray for our leaders. And we pray for the children. Incidents of child abuse increase in times of high stress, so we ask that you keep the children and families that we are serving, and those that we WILL serve, in your prayers.
Be well,
The Dove House Staff and Board of Directors
